Nestled in the medina of Casablanca, Kassariat Manjra is one of the oldest and most renowned covered markets in the city. The word “kassariat” refers to a covered bazaar specialising in a single trade — here, jewellery and goldsmithing.
Dozens of craftsmen work side by side, each mastering a specific skill: gold smelting, stone setting, engraving, filigree. This is where the Tariki tradition was born.
