Terms and Conditions of Sale

These terms govern every order placed on tarikijewellery.com with Bijouterie Tariki inc., a company established in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. By placing an order, you accept them.

The house and its products

Bijouterie Tariki inc. designs and sells 18K gold jewellery handcrafted in a family workshop in Casablanca, Morocco. The pieces are imported into Canada and then shipped from Montreal. The stones used in this catalogue are zircons as well as natural stones specified on each product page.

As every piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in finish, weight and tone are normal and do not constitute a defect. Photographs render colours and proportions approximately.

Our three ways of buying

Our catalogue is sold in three ways, and your rights differ according to the one you choose.

A showcase piece, as it is. It is already made and sold in its existing size. Payment in full at the time of order, shipping within 4 to 8 business days, return possible within 30 days.
A showcase piece, made to your size. It is the same model, remade at the workshop to the dimension you specify. Payment in full at the time of order, manufacture in 3 to 6 weeks. The displayed price is an estimate calculated on the expected gold weight: the piece is weighed once completed and the difference is invoiced or refunded to you before shipping. It cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun, since it is made for you.
A piece you design. You describe the piece to us from the “Create your rare pearl” page and we draw it and then make it for you. A 50% deposit confirms the order and locks in the gold price of the day it is received; the balance is settled before shipping, once the piece has been weighed and its final price determined. The quote is without obligation, but once production has begun, the piece cannot be returned or refunded.

In all three cases, the one-year warranty applies in full, and a manufacturing defect is taken back whatever the offer.

Sales territory

We sell and deliver within Canada only. Orders indicating a delivery address outside Canada cannot be fulfilled.

Prices and payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Shipping is free anywhere in Canada: no shipping charge is added. Applicable taxes are shown before payment, and the total amount is presented to you before you confirm the order.
Payment is due in full at the time of order. We accept common credit cards and the payment methods displayed at checkout. We offer no instalment payment, no financing and no lay-away. The only exception is the piece you design yourself, for which a 50% deposit confirms the order and the balance is settled before shipping.
The price of gold varies with the market: displayed prices may change without notice. The price applied is the one appearing on the order confirmation.
For a piece made to a custom size, the displayed price is an estimate calculated on the gold weight. After manufacture, the piece is weighed and a supplementary invoice or a refund follows the actual difference, at the same per-gram rate. This adjustment is sent to you before shipping. Order and confirmation

The sale is concluded when we send you the order confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, unavailability or suspicion of fraud; the payment is then refunded in full.

You may request the modification or cancellation of an order as long as preparation or production has not begun. Beyond that point, the order follows our refund policy.

Delivery times

Shipping is free anywhere in Canada, with no minimum purchase. Showcase piece: shipped within 4 to 8 business days. Piece made to a custom size: made in 3 to 6 weeks. The full conditions are set out in our shipping policy.

Returns

Showcase pieces: return possible within 30 days. Outbound shipping is free; return shipping costs remain the customer's responsibility. Pieces made to a custom size: not taken back once production has begun. A manufacturing defect is taken back in all cases. The full conditions are set out in our refund and return policy.

Warranty

Every piece of jewellery is guaranteed one year from the date of receipt, on presentation of the invoice. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, conformity of the stated weight and the authenticity of the 18K gold. It does not cover normal wear, impacts and deformation, contact with chemical products, work carried out by a third party, or loss or theft. The details are set out in our refund and return policy and on the “Tariki Warranty” page. This warranty is in addition to Quebec's legal warranty of quality without restricting it.

Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, drawings and graphic elements of this site belong to Bijouterie Tariki inc. Any reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.

Liability

We are answerable for the conformity of the jewellery sold and for its shipping. We are not answerable for damage caused by unsuitable use, incorrect care, a modification carried out by a third party or normal wear.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable in Quebec. They are in addition to the rights granted to the consumer by law, in particular Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, without replacing or restricting them.
